Afterschool staff is the most integral part of a successful program. There must be ongoing professional development opportunities for staff working directly with students. There is some amazing talent working in schools, and centers across the country and we need to provide them with opportunities to improve their learning. And we must also develop eager new talent so they are all capable of delivering the highest quality programming to the students they serve.
Professional development topics include, after-school leadership, connecting with the mission, developing meaningful programs, motivating staff, creative staff solutions, and more. Custom Programs available.
Afterschool programs provide an opportunity to create equity, build social-emotional & character development skills, close achievement gaps, and increase students' interest in school overall. After quality staffing, content is the next key component of effective after school programs. We must continue to deliver programming that focus on bridging achievement gaps, teaching 21st Century Learning Skills, and engage students in Technology and Arts based programs. Afterschool programs should engage, enrich, educate, and encourage students to unlock their full potential.
Let us help you equip your staff with engaging programs, that kids will rave about, and parents will love. Check out the programs tab to view our current programs.
We are in support of organizations and individuals who advocate for policy regarding after-school. Policy is an important piece because it establishes how Afterschool is governed; from program quality to funding. What happens Afterschool matters and we need to have policies that reflect its importance.
